ATP Australian Open Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal tips 29/01/2017

Legends never die. Eleven years ago, the date of the first match between Rafa and Roger in the final of a Grand Slam tournament (Roland Garros), nobody could have imagined that the two sacred monsters would be on the last step of the Open de 'Australia 2017. Still less a few weeks ago, when RF was treating a knee injury, while the Spaniard was wondering if he would ever recover his physical dimension. Since Djokovic and Murray have fallen, everyone has been dreaming in secret of a final between the two men. Nishikori and Wawrinka tried to fight fate against Roger, before bending both in the fifth set, numbed by the clamor of a public fully won over to the king's cause. Rafa also had its epic battles. In front of Zverez, in the third round (5 sets), but especially before Grigor Dimitrov in the semifinal (6-3 5-7 7-6 6-7 6-4). Long of five hours, incredible intensity, this match was one of the biggest of all time in Melbourne. Opposed for the 35th time on the circuit, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are ready to write yet one of the most beautiful pages in the history of tennis.

Nadal played one of the most crazy matches of all time in Melbourne against Dimitrov in the semifinals. The Spaniard imposed himself after a merciless bout five hours. It will necessarily be marked physically.

Rafa lost two of the three finals he played in Melbourne. Federer shows 4 successes in 5 appearances. Problem, his only defeat had been conceded against the Spaniard, in 2009.

Rafa played his semi-final one day later than Roger and had only a little less than 40 hours to rest. It is very little for the Spanish, already present almost 20 hours on the courts since the start of the tournament ...

Federer punished Nishikori and Wawrinka in the fifth set, proof of his great physical form. Reassuring before confronting Nadal.
Nadal has often extinguished Roger in the diagonal lapels during his career and Switzerland knows he will have to be even more offensive than throughout the fortnight to lift his 18th Grand Slam title. The Spaniard should be slightly favorite, but the fact that he fought for five hours a day later than RF in the semi-final balances the debates widely. The score above 2 for a Federer victory is to be tried. Without regret.
