Euro 2016 : Belgium vs Italy

The Belgian selection, led by coach Marc Wilmots, easily qualified for the finals of Euro 2016 in a dominant qualifying group widely in range. Second in the last FIFA rankings behind Argentina, the Belgians are, with Italy, the favorites in their group. Led by Eden Hazard (in the absence of regular captain Vincent Kompany, injured), Belgium must confirm all the hopes placed in this team for a few months. Belgian golden generation consists of experienced players and regulars in European tournaments including Thibault Courtois (goalkeeper, Chelsea), Jan Vertonghen (defender Tottenham) or Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City). If Kompany certainly miss the Belgian rearguard, their numbers
must allow them to pass the group stage. This match against Italy, the other favorite in Group E, is of particular importance in view of the conquest of first place.

Both teams scored in the last 7 games played by the Red Devils. Marc Wilmots clearly advocates a football brought forward.

Belgium was very friable defensively against Switzerland (2-1), Finland (1-1) and Norway (3-2) in its series of friendlies before Euro. Before however, all is well ...

6 of the last 8 matches with the Azzurri saw both teams score at least once.

Belgians and Italians had already gauged in a friendly in Brussels last few months, a 3-1 teammate Eden Hazard.
Belgium is offensively amazing but showed worrying defensive shortcomings in its preparation and will inevitably be worried by this opportunistic Squadra Azzurra. In a European Championship with qualifying for the knockout four best third, hopefully a little more spectacle than usual on the first day, and so a totally unbridled match for Belgium - Italy. The outcome of the meeting is uncertain but both teams will score at least once
